From September 18-20, 2023, buildingSMART hosted its Global Autumn Standards Summit in Lillestrøm, Norway, where the finals of the 2023 buildingSMART openBIM (Building Information Modeling) International Awards took place. Lin Jiarui, a researcher from Tsinghua University’s Department of Civil Engineering, represented the team and presented the project "Rule Interpretation and Automatic Review Based on openBIM and Knowledge Enhancement." After rigorous competition, the Tsinghua University team emerged as the winner in the professional research category.

The success of the project can be attributed to the contributions of faculty members Lin Jiarui and Professor Lu Xinzheng, along with Ph.D. student Zheng Zhe (enrolled in 2019), Master’s students Chen Keyin (enrolled in 2022), and Zhou Shaojie (enrolled in 2023), and Zhou Yucheng a Master’s graduate from 2019.
